To ensure a sustainable rugby future, we are carrying out a major redevelopment of our Clubhouse facilities this Summer 2022 off season. Main building works started Tues 3rd May on a £600,000 redevelopment project to deliver:
- enhanced & enlarged event function venue downstairs - ideal for weddings, parties, & corporate hires;
- new private meeting room with full media connectivity, available for hire;
- new expanded sports bar / sponsors lounge / viewing balcony upstairs.
Architect final floor plans can be viewed in our Clubhouse Redevelopment photo gallery, together with mood boards providing a visual illustration of our new facilities exterior and interior. We are adding photos on a regular basis as building works progress, and hope you will find these interesting.
Latest progress: most recent photos taken Sat 29/10 viewable via photo gallery link above. Upstairs sports bar: fitting out progressing well and now in final stages, viewing balcony boarded out, on track to open Sat 5th Nov for NB Clark sponsored 1st XV 'H' game v Penrith. Downstairs bar & function room: very happily trading for 1 week, spookily dressed for our MRFC Halloween Party tonight! Welcome back everyone...
Fundraising Appeal - please donate NOW
If you wish to contribute, please do so via our Just Giving link:
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/Morpeth2022
Latest total: £21,199 raised from 182 supporters = 84% of our £25,000 fundraising target (Wed 19/10/2022)
Amounts large or small are all very welcome, as each £ raised reduces MRFC bank interest charges and helps us keep future Club costs down. Please use 25% Gift Aid uplift if you can. Great if you could also share via Facebook, writing a short post with the link attached is an invaluable method of spreading the word and attracting further donations. A big thanks from MRFC Management Board should you be able to contribute to this major project.
We hope you will very much enjoy the finished product later this year!
